St Mary’s Preschool

St. Mary’s has been educating the smallest learners for more than 50 years in the Belle Isle area of Orlando. Our curriculum targets all areas of a child’s development; and allows teachers to individualize lessons for their students. A low student to teacher ratio, dedication to each child and family involvement give our students the foundation to achieve success throughout their school careers. Our preschool plays an integral role in the ministry of St. Mary’s Church and is a celebrated resource within our community. We encourage each child to discover the world through hands-on learning and the richness of open-ended play. We strive to instill a love of learning, as well as integrating important life lessons into our daily curriculum. In an atmosphere of love and acceptance modeled by experienced educators, the children develop self-esteem and confidence in their place in the group and in the world.

Our Curriculum

St. Mary’s Preschool is a play-based emergent curriculum program that has supported parents and nurtured children for over 50 years! Our preschool provides a peaceful, caring, cooperative environment. Children in our preschool will learn not just with pencils and paper but with hands on experiences in both the indoor or outdoor classroom. Beyond Centers and Circle Time and a combination of Nemours BrightStart, learning without Tears and character development activities make up our unique curriculum.

Preschool Enrollment

We offer developmentally appropriate classes for children ages 2 – 5 years old. We are offer Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) in a unique way. The State Funded VPK program allows all Florida residents with children that are age 4 by September 1st to participate in a quality Pre Kindergarten program free of charge. Children who are 5 years old and have not submitted a VPK certificate previously they may use it at St. Mary’s during their 5-year-old year.
