Hi, I’m Nina Woodley…

I’m a curly girl from a small city in Colorado living in Orlando, Florida as a curly hair specialist, studio salon owner and curl advocate.  

A little about me…

Besides being a curly coach, I am a rescue mom of a handsome, crabby cat named Seti.  

I love coffee and music!  In my free time I enjoy a good podcast. My favorites are Snap Judgement and Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations.  

I originally moved to Florida because of my husband’s passion and career in football. Now after many years his passion has rubbed off on me and I’ve become a football fan, GO KNIGHTS! 

Why I became a curl specialist…

As a curly girl myself, I know and understand the struggle that curly girls face!  It was after I took my 1st class to become a curly specialist that changed how I viewed and managed my own curls. This was an eye opening experience for me and I wanted to share this knowledge with others that need help with how to manage and maintain their hair!  

Learning how to properly maintain my curls has lead me on a journey of self confidence, self love and self acceptance. I have made my career’s purpose to help others learn to love themselves in the same way! 

My approach to curls…

To thrive, curls need to be treated like curls! 

Even though hair is hair, you can not take the exact same approach to curls as you would straight hair!  Like a palm tree and a cactus, both are plants but with different needs and requirements. 

Water, hydration and moisture are the most important things you can do for curls!  So everything I do and everything I teach is to help maintain moisture in the hair so the hair is as healthy as possible! 

The salon experience…

For my salon guest, a relaxing environment, curl education and use of the best curly hair products is a priority for every visit! Creating a healthy safe environment for curls is my mission. Embracing the natural beauty of curls, not conforming or trying to change them, but helping others love their hair just the way it is!!
