Contango Investments was formed in 2005 in order to diversify GP Holdings portfolio of companies. Giriam Patel (Contango Investments’ Broker of Record) is a licensed real estate broker in Florida with over thirty years of small business ownership experience.

Contango Investment is a group company of GP Holdings, LLC, a privately owned diversified holding company. GP Holdings has interests in real estate development, hospitality operations, hotels and franchise restaurants in Metro Orlando and Melbourne, Florida USA and Dar Es Salam, Tanzania. GP Holdings has affiliate offices in UK, Portugal, Dubai,  India and Tanzania.

George Rosen, Managing Director of Contango Investments, has extensive experience (17 years) in small business sales, mergers and acquisitions. George has been involved in hundreds of private business sales. In 1989, he helped guide a five-unit food and beverage chain through a turnaround operation amounting to an increase in profitability of over $3,000,000 and the subsequent sale of that chain. Thereafter George co-founded a site selection and lease negotiations firm specializing in multi-unit regional and national chain operations. In 1993 George joined one of Florida’s pre-eminent private business brokerage houses where he met Mr. Patel in 1997. In November of 2005, George joined the GP Holdings group of companies to take over operations for Contango Investments’ SBA 504 lending division and the Business Brokerage / M & A Division.
