I went in a skeptic and now I'm the person who won't stop recommending it
I want to be honest: I thought massage was basically a luxury service dressed up with clinical language to justify the price. My wife had been going to Body Mechanics for a few months and kept suggesting I try it for the chronic shoulder tension I’d been complaining about, and I kept brushing it off. Eventually I ran out of excuses and booked a session, fully prepared to think it was fine but not life-changing. I was wrong in a way I’m genuinely happy to admit. The therapist spent real time understanding what was going on before touching anything — asked about my job, my posture, what the pain felt like at different times of day. The session itself was nothing like I expected — specific and purposeful in a way that made clear this person actually understood anatomy and was applying that knowledge, not just following a routine. I left with my shoulder feeling better than it had in probably two years. I’ve been back five times since. I’m now the person in my friend group who won’t stop bringing up Body Mechanics, which my wife finds very satisfying.
