Have you ever felt overwhelmed with the abundance of (inconsistent) information when searching the web for resources on how to work out properly or eat healthy?  The fitness and nutrition market is saturated with contradictory information on what to eat, how to lift weights, the best types of cardio, and everything else you can imagine.  I created this website (thanks Dad) with the intention of providing a very blunt and straightforward resource for you to use to reach your fitness goals, no matter your level of experience.  No jargon, no bullshit fads or get fit quick schemes, and no confusion, just a successful, self-made fitness enthusiast sharing information I have collected over the years.  The bottom line is that no matter your knowledge about or level of fitness, you should be able to find this website useful in answering most of your health and fitness queries.

The Body Outside (Fitness)
There are “approximately” 640  muscles in your body responsible for your everyday movements.  Why “approximately?” Because when I googled “How many muscles are in the body,” it said “approximately,” which I am sure if we wanted to dive into why people have different numbers of muscles we could, but not on this website.  I digress.  ‘The Body‘ tab takes the “approximation” of muscles and narrows it down to a small handful that I have decided are the most important to train, because honestly, we don’t need to be focusing on the “stapedius” (Sorry if you wrote your term paper on this muscle and I offended you.)
The Body Inside (Nutrition)
It’s been said that success in changing your body composition is 20% fitness and 80% nutrition.  From first hand experience, this is true.  You can be the hardest worker in the gym, but without proper nutrition, that person next to you working half as hard but eating better will see more results.  So today, I want to to see yourself as a tree.  You have all the potential to be a great tree, overshadowing other trees, but with limited sunlight (fitness) and crappy soil (nutrition), the other trees will always overshadow you.  Inside the ‘Nutrition’ tab I have handpicked the most important information you should know about, and the food you should be eating in a society against you.

I am a National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist, and founder of Beyond Fatigue Fitness, in Orlando, Florida. I teach and train clients of all age and experience on fat loss, muscle building/toning, functional fitness, and muscle pliability. As with this dynamic and ever changing industry it can sometimes be difficult to have the answers to the best way to achieve your optimum fitness level, but I can assure you that my knowledge is based off of a decade of experience, research, and trial-and-error. Many people want to get into better shape, but often lack the knowledge and motivation to achieve their goals, and that is where a fitness trainer comes in, in general, and where I come in in particular. I believe fitness needs to be something that enhances your life, not hinders it, if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle.    You will get the best results when your trainer is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and truly wants to serve your needs, and I possess all of these qualifications.

My fitness journey began in Mechanicsburg, PA (population 9,000) where I started playing sports from the time I could walk. So while cardiovascular training was not foreign to me (especially as a high-school soccer mid-fielder), weight training was. I just assumed that the way your body looked was how it would stay, just with more wrinkles later in life. For me, that look was a 5’ 9” 130 lb human. In my school, weight training was something only wrestlers and football players really utilized. And since I was neither, it didn’t make the list of things I needed to do in life. It was not until I befriended some guys on the wrestling and football teams that I decided to give weightlifting a try. Whether it’s the first day lifting a weight, or years down the road, we all have that “ah-ha” moment that changes our perspective entirely about our health and fitness.  For some, it’s a doctors visit informing you of limited time on your life, for others, it’s what you see in the mirror.  Mine happened in the mirror. I’ll never forget the day I got out of the shower, a few weeks of this “lifting” under my belt,  looked in the mirror, and saw muscles laying on my once flat chest! From that point on, I was hooked! Lifting became my stress relief from school, helped me fit in in college, and gave me confidence.  I also want that for you, for everybody.

Everything I know and my success as a trainer emanated from my passion for fitness.  It started out as nothing more than a serious hobby for me, something I never even consider as a profession. But now, after a handful of unfulfilling jobs, with an inapplicable major in college (well, I did learn a bit about human anatomy because of it), my career is, and always will be, in health and fitness. I am the guy that always wants to know everything about a topic, strives for perfection, and this website provides you with everything I’ve learned on the topic of health and fitness. I hope it inspires you and empowers you to live a healthy lifestyle, because there is no greater reward we can give ourselves than good health
