2019 was a good year for me as a composer. My cello concertino was premiered in Orlando by my son Jean-Marie with the FSYO in February, and my tuba concerto was played twice: Once by Bob Carpenter with the Orlando Philharmonic, and once by Bob and the Brass Band of Central Florida. I also completely revised my hour long wind quintet suite: Flying Machine, which is performed along Al Rocheleau’s poems and involves projections as we

Montréal-born Benoit Glazer has been making music professionally since 1981. He is a conductor, arranger, trumpet player and multi-instrumentalist who was teaching at McGill University at 21 years of age, and did so for 9 years. He has recently been putting more energy in composition, and you can see some of his original titles at the COMPOSITIONS page. His freelance career saw him play in most North American cities, as well as in Europe. He has been the conductor at La Nouba (Cirque du Soleil) in Orlando, Florida since 1998. 

Benoit is also a designer, with a brass valve block patent, and many more ideas on brass, homes, and boat design.

He volunteered at Boone High School for 6 years, conducting their Jazz Orchestra every day at noon. He is writing the 6th version of his method book on vocabulary, style and ensemble playing  that resulted from that experience.
